International Women’s Day provides an opportunity to highlight leadership, creativity, and perseverance. A photo exhibit currently on display in the C Hallway between the library and the Centre for Global Engagement recognizes the contributions of women within Lambton College.
A dedicated group of Photography students created a compelling series of portraits featuring employees and students who drive progress. This Women of Lambton – In Action project presents individuals actively shaping change. Each portrait reflects their strength, ambition, and impact within the community.
The students took full creative control in capturing these images, ensuring each subject’s presence and influence are conveyed. I had the opportunity to assist behind the scenes, observing the dedication and effort behind every detail. The result is a striking visual narrative showcasing the achievements of women making a difference.
Strong engagement has encouraged an expansion of the collection. Additional portraits will be added, and future sessions have already been scheduled. As the project grows, more individuals will have the opportunity to be featured.
Students and staff can suggest individuals for future portraits by sending a message through Teams. Recognizing those who contribute to progress strengthens the impact of this initiative and encourages broader participation.
Visit the exhibit to experience this collection of images and reflect on the achievements of the remarkable women within Lambton College. Their leadership and dedication continue to inspire progress and create meaningful change.
