DESCRIPTION: Here is Ozzy Osbourne on one of the very first reunion shows with Black Sabbath at the Milton Keynes National Bowl, England on June 20, 1998. The line-up was stacked and in order of appearance included, Therapy?, Fear Factory, Slayer, Pantera, Soulfly, Foo Fighters, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Yes, Ozzy played a solo show with his touring band and then returned to headline the night with Black Sabbath. It should be noted that Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi were part of the reunion but unfortunately, Bill Ward suffered a heart attack and was unable to perform. Vinnie Appice filled in on the drums. Since this reunion I've seen Black Sabbath a number of times but this was the best setlist of all as it's the only time I've seen them perform Spiral Architect (one of my all time favourite songs) and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was a glorious pinnacle of the show and simultaneously, the crowd of 65000 erupted into peak madness. My friend and fellow photog, @Alessio_Pizzicannella and I were near to the stage when the band broke into the opening chords and you could literally feel the energy rise. I stood up on my toes and had a look around; all the way to the outer perimeter of the "Bowl" the devoted throng was loving it. Along the edge there were a number of small fires burning that added a cinematic aura to the evening and around those fires, the revellers were dancing as if they were a part of a rock and roll pagan ritual... "just like witches at black masses".
